Does the strange and mystical shape remind you of a Heart? <3 I suppose Love exists everywhere ;)
Yeah! So who isn’t excited about summer? No one, right? It’s finally the time to unleash your inner gamer or athlete… whichever of the two you may be. (I am sorta both? :D) And, to top it all off, it’s the last day for school. I can imagine the joy filling the hearts of students everywhere as they fill in the last dot on their test sheets or pencil in the last word of their most-hated essays… and then to realize that they are only seconds away from freedom… I bet even the teachers, though they may try to look displeased on the outside as kids yell out in joy at the end of school, smile to themselves inside and savor the taste of a personal vacation or a night-out shopping just awaiting for the last bell to ring and set them free…
For freshmen, it’s the ceremonious time to finally be elevated to being a sophomore. (Though I don’t think the maturity level is quite there yet, for most of them anyways :P) For middle schoolers, it’s the excitement of anticipating the adventures of high school (which I really don’t find all that exciting, to be honest, but still, one can always hope…). For seniors, it’s the time for them to throw away all their textbooks and look back one last time at their fleeting high school life; only to jump straight into another school-like-maybe-scary-place: college (or wherever they go…). For pets, it’s the time when they can always anticipate their owners being home longer than they used to be (when school or work nagged), and to be able to lay all day in the sun and not have the fear of winter coming anytime soon.
For me, though summer may be all that exciting and fantastical, the end of school and the beginning of freedom does little to life my spirits. Yes, semester tests are done. Yes, I can sleep in whenever I want now. Yes, my dog is happy and wagging his tail at me. Yes, there is no more homework…. Wait. No, for me, actually, school isn’t quite over… yet. A few more days until MY actual freedom. Not the freedom from school, but the freedom from stress and test. What awaits is far more intimidating than any semester test (most, anyways)… What awaits is the endless dread of cramming all I can of my review book and hope that I am good enough to pass it… The AP exams… (insert “The Scream” right here, right now…)
And so yeah, this is my inner dark foreshadow of what the schedule for my next few days looks like. Cram, cram, cram, and sleep, and cram some more… FUN stuff.
Looking forwards to when the REAL summer starts for me :D But wait… I still have summer school, :O, what a great outlook this seems to be so far… Can’t wait! (So now you get why I am not very excited about summer…)
Vampire Academy is a captivating book unlike any other. Don’t let the “twilight stereotype” throw you off, this is a must read for girls (and guys too!) :)
Watch the book trailer that I made and you’ll see what I mean.
Reminds me so much of Incarceron… Speaking of which, it’s a very delicious book that you all should read!
